2012 is off and running. Unseasonably warm weather has fooled our center islands into blooming thinking it's spring. So, too, with buyers looking to become Greenbrae homeowners. Clear skies have buyers shopping for real estate instead of skiing - waiting for the market to wake up.
Greenbrae performed in a consistent and steady fashion with residential real estate sales for 2011. There was a total of 48 single family homes sold in 2011 compared to 56 in 2010 - a decrease of 14% in overall homes sold. This is accountable for by the fact that, with lower prices, sellers had to be committed to the new reality in order to sell, weeding out unrealistic homeowners.
